Connecting with Avantio

Written by Ryo

How to connect your Avantio account to Wheelhouse

Start by clicking on the Avantio logo on the Add Channel page:

Wheelhouse integrates with Avantio, a property management system (PMS), allowing you to sync your pricing, minimum stay rules, and check-in/check-out restrictions directly from Wheelhouse to your Avantio listings.

Getting Started

Step 1: Obtain your Avantio API Key

To connect Avantio with Wheelhouse, you'll first need an API key from Avantio. To request your API key, email the Avantio team at apiconnect@avantio.com. Once you have it, you're ready to connect your account in Wheelhouse.

Step 2: Connect Your Account in Wheelhouse

In Wheelhouse, navigate to the Integrations section and select Avantio. Enter the API key you obtained from Avantio to connect your account. Once connected, Wheelhouse will automatically detect all active Avantio listings and begin importing them β€” no additional permissions are required.

Managing Minimum Stay and Check-in/Check-out Rules

Once your Avantio account is connected to Wheelhouse, we recommend managing your minimum stay and check-in/check-out rules directly within Wheelhouse going forward. Here is how the transition works:

  1. Initial Import: Upon first connection, all existing Avantio minimum stay and check-in/check-out rules are automatically imported into Wheelhouse.

  2. Ongoing Sync: These rules are re-imported whenever a listing is updated in Avantio, so Wheelhouse stays current with any changes you make before activating a paid plan.

  3. Paid Tier Activation: Once you upgrade to a paid Wheelhouse plan, Wheelhouse will begin pushing both pricing and rules to Avantio. Until then, Avantio remains the source of truth for your rules.

  4. Post-Activation: After activation, all minimum stay and check-in/check-out rule changes should be made exclusively within Wheelhouse.

Note on Rule Conversion: Wheelhouse supports a full rule set (global, time-based, etc.) for minimum stays and check-in/check-out restrictions. When these rules are sent to Avantio, they are converted into a date-specific calendar format. When Wheelhouse fetches rules back from Avantio, they will appear as date-specific rules. This is expected behavior β€” you can continue using the full rule set in Wheelhouse, and the conversion happens automatically in the background.
