Shared snapshots let you view and collaborate on fixed, point-in-time versions of reports that another user has shared with you. They’re designed to make it easy to review data, discuss insights, and stay aligned — even if you don’t have access to the original report.

Receiving a Shared Snapshot Invite

When someone shares a snapshot with you, you’ll receive an email or in-app notification with a link to open it. You don’t need edit permissions or access to the original report — shared snapshots are standalone, read-only versions created for you to view and discuss.

Viewing a Shared Snapshot

Shared snapshots display the exact data, layout, and notes from the moment they were created. Since the data is frozen, everyone sees the same numbers, making it ideal for reviews, presentations, and owner communication. You can open any shared snapshot anytime from your Shared Snapshots list.

Commenting on a Shared Snapshot

Shared snapshots support full commenting, so you can discuss insights directly in context. Add comments, ask questions, tag teammates or owners, and reply in threads. All conversations stay attached to that specific snapshot, giving you a clear record of decisions and discussions.

Receiving Notifications

If someone comments on a snapshot you’ve been shared on — or replies to a thread you’re part of — you’ll receive email or in-app notifications. This helps you stay up to date as conversations unfold, without needing to constantly check the snapshot.

Exporting a Shared Snapshot as a PDF

You can export any shared snapshot as a PDF. The PDF reflects the frozen data and layout, making it ideal for sending to clients, owners, or team members who prefer offline or downloadable reports. Just click Export as PDF in the snapshot view to download it.
